Pastoral Council
The documents of the Second Vatican Council affirmed that all members of the People of God are called to participate in the threefold ministry of Christ and the Church according to their particular gifts, their state of life, and their office. One of the ways through which the people accept a greater responsibility for the pastoral work of the local church is through participation in a parish's councils and commissions. The Parish Finance Commission oversees the financial planning and makes income/expense decisions at budget time and throughout the year, as necessary. Members of the Finance Commission include the Pastor, an elected chairperson, two parish trustees, the parish secretary, the parish custodian, and chairpersons of the Maintenance Commissions (SFX and SMM).
Anyone interested in learning more about or joining any of the various Commissions should contact the church secretary at (920) 648-2468. Some commissions serve both churches and others focus on one church (designated as “SMM and SFX”). Our commissions include: Religious Education (kindergarten through high school), Adult Education/Vocations, Liturgy (SMM and SFX), Parish Life (SMM and SFX), Membership (SMM and SFX), and Maintenance (SMM and SFX).
